Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Operator

As a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced Alarm Panel Operator in Rochester, NY, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and varied experience.

This role requires a six-month commitment to your designated site and weekly shift. Through our Claim-A-Shift program, you can pick up extra shifts, allowing you to scale your hours from part-time to full-time (up to 40 hours per week) based on your availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the commercial property, including common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Alarm panel experience (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.00 per hour.

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday, 07:30 AM – 03:30 PM (fixed base schedule). Additional shifts available through the Claim-A-Shift program.
