This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Administration in Salt Lake City, UT, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—flexibility to scale up to 40 hours per week or scale back as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare-related office environment.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, supporting a professional and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
