Security Officer Enhanced Financial Institution Part Time

How This Role Works

Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.

Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours one week and full‑time the next, up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, employees, and contractors, verifying access authorization, and directing individuals according to site‑specific procedures.
• Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, and visitor management processes while maintaining awareness of security‑related concerns within the financial institution location.
• Issue visitor credentials, maintain accurate visitor and delivery records, and communicate access‑related information to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific policies and emergency response procedures.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly, professional reception area and report unusual activity, policy violations, and security‑related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 + years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime Thursday: 08:00 AM – 06:00 PM (fixed‑shift anchor). Additional shifts may be picked up via the Claim‑A‑Shift program.
