Security Officer / EMT Oil Refinery

About the role

As a Security Officer / EMT Oil Refinery in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.

Requirements

• Possess an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer and tablet skills.
