About the role
As a Dispatch Officer supporting a government transit location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and relay information to appropriate personnel. Your visible presence and professional service will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for passengers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and public agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, coordinating responses to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Monitor communications systems, cameras, alarms, and other assigned security-related equipment; report unusual activity and dispatch personnel according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift communications, documenting calls for service and actions taken.
- Coordinate with site personnel, transit operations staff, public agency representatives, and emergency responders to support timely incident response and continuity of operations.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
