As an Unarmed Security Officer at a prestigious educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour
- Schedule: DayTime, Monday 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM, Tuesday 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM, Friday 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting emergency responders when needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, campus representatives, and/or law enforcement regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
