About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will engage with students, faculty, staff, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, including verifying authorization in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate campus personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Friday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Saturday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
