As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a public school district, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity in accordance with school district policies; verify credentials and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with school administrators, staff, and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities and security-related incidents.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
