Job Description

As a Security Officer Educational Building Patrol Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting students, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout school buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity while following access procedures for the location and assisting with directions, questions, and general support.
• Support daily operations at an educational location by remaining visible, observing student and visitor behavior, and reporting policy-related concerns and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
