What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document access activity in support of security-related operations.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related awareness.
- Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and/or local responders regarding post instructions, restricted areas, and access-related concerns while following Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
