About the role
As an Access Control Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Omaha, NE, you will help manage access, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned technology, media, and telecommunications facility areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access concerns, policy violations, and incidents requiring follow-up.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
