Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit-related buildings, parking areas, bus staging zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, helping to verify authorized entry, direct foot and vehicle traffic, and report security-related concerns according to post instructions.
• Support day-to-day operations by observing public areas, assisting with routine inquiries, and reporting maintenance, operational, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
