Security Officer - Driver Patrol - 1st Shift

About the role

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Driver Patrol – 1st Shift in Waterloo, IA. In this unarmed patrol position you will serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial environments, providing a visible security presence, conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols, and delivering outstanding customer service. The role requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization per site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lb (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• At least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.25 per hour

Daytime – Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
