About the role
As a Security Officer Driver Incident Response Patrol in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This unarmed role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, deterring security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position supports a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
- Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and reporting security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED (required by the client).
- Valid driver’s license (in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements).
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
