About the role
As a Security Officer Driver Gatehouse in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. This part-time role involves managing access control, monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post, offering a varied role for professionals who value teamwork, integrity, and customer service while supporting a reliable and innovative team culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and document access activity in support of site access requirements and other security-related procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, administrative areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Prepare clear reports of daily activities, access events, and incident details, and follow post orders that help to support security-related operations at the location.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$17.50 / Hour
Schedule
- Day shift: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
- Part-time, with flexibility to build your schedule and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform.
- Available days: Monday, Sunday
