Security Officer Driver for Armed Patrol

About the Role

As a Security Officer Driver for Armed Patrol in Troy, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed and driving post where you will contribute to daily operations with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while representing Allied Universal's caring and innovative approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor movement through restricted areas, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and other security-related concerns according to post orders.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, follow all armed post directives, and support security-related operations during routine activity, transports, escorts, and/or emergency situations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Schedule: DayTime, Friday 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM, Saturday 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM, Sunday 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
