Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations through strong communication, professionalism, and customer service. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with site protocols.
- Complete required reports and logs related to patrol activity, incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns, and support follow-up actions as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
