Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, verify badges, monitor entry points, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This is a driving post. You will remain visible, provide strong customer service and communication, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, document arrivals and departures, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including building access points, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter zones, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Support shipping and receiving area operations by observing access activity, reporting unusual conditions, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $19.05 / Hour
- Position Type: Part Time
- Schedule: Monday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Tuesday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Saturday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
