Security Officer Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Driver in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Maintain access control and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with the protection of personnel, property, and proprietary materials.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
