Security Officer DOD Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Clearance Patrol Driver in Portsmouth, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. This unarmed patrol role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming, controlled environment at a leading aerospace and defense location. The position requires a valid driver’s license and emphasizes professional communication, outstanding customer service, and reporting security-related concerns while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values: agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor and contractor entry requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol observations, incidents, access-related activity, and shift communications.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$22.78 per hour.

• Wednesday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thursday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Saturday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
