About the role
As a Security Officer in Merrimack, NH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
- Follow site protocols for the protection of controlled materials, equipment, and sensitive work areas.
Requirements
- Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
- Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.
Skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
- Knowledge of security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Proficiency in monitoring access points and maintaining security logs.
- Ability to protect controlled materials and sensitive work areas.
