How This Role Works
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and associates by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and Allied Universal standards at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering and exiting the location in accordance with post orders and applicable security-related procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document screening activity, visitor information, and/or incident details according to site policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, access points, and perimeter locations as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
