About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Presence to serve and safeguard clients in industries including Logistics & Distribution at a location in New York, NY. This part-time position offers flexibility through the Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles. The role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, monitoring assigned areas, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while bringing a customer-focused approach to a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, teamwork, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter of a logistics and distribution location to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document entries, exits, deliveries, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Observe and report conditions that may affect operations, access control, or security-related procedures, and complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Schedule

Part Time, DayTime: Friday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Saturday 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Pay

$17.00 - 18.00 / Hour
