Job Description

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Distribution Company in Boston MA. The role operates Saturdays from 3 AM - 11 AM, with the option to pick up more shifts. Starting Pay is $23.31 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training.

How This Role Works

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. It's a fixed-shift commitment ("Anchor Shifts") with a six (6) month commitment, and an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program allows you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or delivery drivers, following site-specific protocols for access control, vehicle activity, and package handling areas.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns in a clear manner, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and suspicious activity according to post instructions.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
