Security Officer Distribution Center

About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Agent in TRACY, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening guidelines.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or restricted items to site leadership and the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
