Security Officer - Distribution Center

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor processing, deliveries, and other security-related support functions in accordance with site expectations.
• Observe and report conditions involving property, equipment, and/or personnel, and communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and emergency responders when needed.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
