Security Officer - Distribution Center

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, verify badges and credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Maintain vigilance at entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help prevent unauthorized access to buildings, yards, gates, and other restricted areas.
• Observe vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian activity at assigned access points, document arrivals and departures, and report unusual or suspicious activity according to post instructions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, dock areas, parking locations, and perimeter to support security-related operations, noting hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
