Security Officer Dispensary Part Time

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor interior and exterior premises as directed
• Achieve security goals, meet deadlines, and adhere to performance standards
• Assess security needs and suggest improvements
• Utilize checklists to prevent criminal activities and asset loss
• Follow company policies and safety standards
• Check-in dispensary guests at the reception desk
• Coordinate with staff to manage traffic, reduce wait times, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Handle customer issues and manage conflicts
• Perform cleaning tasks and pick up trash
• Escort personnel as needed
• Stay updated with staff communications on Slack
• Aid in training new hires
• Maintain organization of the security station and entrance
• Monitor surrounding property to prevent diversion and deter loitering
• Aid in other dispensary tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid State issued Driver's License
• At least 21 years old
• Pass a drug test for all substances non-cannabis

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior cannabis industry knowledge, education, or certification
• Understanding of state marijuana policies, laws, compliance, and regulations
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet applications
• Ability to multitask, maintain teamwork, and resolve conflicts effectively
