Security Officer Days Full - Time

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Greenville, OH, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Through clear communication, attention to detail, and a visible presence, you will help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and document observations according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and access records while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
