Security Officer - Customer Service

About the role

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer in Austin, TX (Rollingwood). As a Tactical Security Guard, you’ll need sharp observation skills and attention to detail while monitoring screens, and physical ability to patrol environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc. throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background and drug screen
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass an extensive screening process
• First aid certification (asset)
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Professional and well‑groomed appearance
• Able to work in outside conditions
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience (required)
• Texas Security License or ability to obtain one
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $19.50 (DailyPay available for GardaWorld employees)

Schedule

Set schedule: Monday – Thursday, 3 PM – 11 PM (32 hours, full‑time)
