Security Officer - Customer Service

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location in Tempe, AZ, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while operating a vehicle as part of this driving post. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare technology location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, restricted-access points, and the business perimeter, to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.17 / hour

Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time
• Day shift: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM, Monday through Friday
