Security Officer Customer Service

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for students, employees, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with location procedures.
• Document routine activities, incidents, and/or unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
