About the role
As a Security Officer Credential Systems Coordinator in Flowery Branch, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to access-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and maintaining visitor and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor access control systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment; report unusual activity, access concerns, and equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
