Job Description
As a Security Officer Credential Screening in Edison, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and support badge screening processes. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, trailer yards, docks, and other key parts of the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, visitor activity, and/or access exceptions according to site policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping/receiving zones to help to deter unusual activity and report maintenance and/or operational concerns.
- Communicate with site contacts, transportation personnel, and Allied Universal leadership regarding deliveries, visitor processing, and security-related issues while following post orders and customer guidelines.

Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing Requirements
Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
