Security Officer Credential Issuance

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Credential Issuance at a logistics and distribution location in Lakeland, FL. In this role, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting visitor activity, and communicating professionally with employees, drivers, and guests. Your visible presence will help deter security-related incidents while supporting smooth operations.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle entry records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing traffic in accordance with site procedures, including checking delivery documentation and directing drivers to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$16.00 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime shifts: Monday 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Thursday 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. This is a part-time position.
