Security Officer Credential Desk
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic automotive location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing steps, and other security-related policies at an automotive manufacturing location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders and facility requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, including building entrances, production support spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns promptly.
- Support daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, completing required reports, and assisting with traffic flow, deliveries, and/or contractor access while providing professional interaction with all site personnel.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
