About the role

As a Security Officer Credential Desk in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support access control procedures to help deter incidents. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, facility concerns, and other security-related matters in a technology-focused location.
• Support day-to-day front entry and lobby operations by managing visitor check-in processes, directing deliveries, and reporting security-related concerns according to site policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
