Security Officer Credential Control Driver

About the role
As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and a visible presence that helps deter incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor access control systems, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and document access-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift handoff information related to visitors, access control activity, incidents, and site conditions.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
