As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic construction location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report observations. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. Position Type: Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and construction personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of construction areas, access points, perimeter fencing, staging areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized personnel, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entries, exits, and relevant site activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report hazards, unsecured areas, damaged barriers, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. Licensed by the New York State Department of State.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $18.76 / Hour
