Job Description

As a Security Officer - Communications Operator in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and/or report maintenance issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, equipment spaces, and/or sensitive work locations.
• Support daily operations at a technology-focused location by assisting with visitor direction, monitoring for policy compliance, and reporting security-related or customer service concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
