About the Role

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part-time Security Officer – Enhanced position designed for individuals seeking supplemental income, hands-on experience, or a pathway to a full-time career. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site in Philadelphia, PA, with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay

$17.25 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tuesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

This role includes a fixed-shift commitment ("Anchor Shifts") requiring a six-month dedication to a designated site and weekly schedule. You may also pick up extra shifts through our Claim-A-Shift program, allowing you to scale hours up to 40 per week or adjust as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Comply with state and/or local licensing laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred. Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
