Responsibilities

• As a Security Officer Commercial Building Patrol in Austin, TX, serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more.
• As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology and media location, monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.
• Use technology to document activity and assist visitors and employees while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and media campus by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with access‑control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observed incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Pay

$22.28 per hour.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (daytime shift).
