Job Description

As a Security Officer Commercial Building Intake Coordinator in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Professional in a commercial real estate location, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following site-specific policies, managing front desk activity, and supporting security-related procedures at a commercial property location.
• Monitor lobby access, greet and direct guests, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive front desk presence and consistent visitor management practices.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting building contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Answer phones, assist with check-in processes, maintain accurate visitor and incident records, and communicate important information to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Observe cameras, alarms, and other building systems from the front desk, report maintenance concerns and/or suspicious activity, and support emergency response activities when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
