Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, assist with directions and information, and document incidents, observations, and completed patrols in required reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
