Security Officer Checkpoint Screening
About the role
As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This role combines strong observation, communication, and customer service while helping to identify and report security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for a government location.
- Screen people, bags, packages, and other items at designated entry points using assigned screening equipment and/or manual inspection procedures in accordance with post orders.
- Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization for visitors and staff, and help to deter unauthorized entry by following established access control protocols.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, observations, and/or unusual activity according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular observation of entrances, screening areas, and nearby assigned locations, and communicate with supervisors and/or site contacts regarding security-related issues or operational needs.
Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Guard card is required.
