Security Officer - Casual Float Pool
About the role
This is a casual float pool position with a varied shift and schedule in San Diego. Will require flexibility and floating to all of our hospital and clinic sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supports Scripps Health through the performance of duties which provide a reasonably safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, medical staff, and property.
- Is a visible deterrent to criminal activity and actively patrols assigned areas.
- Ensures policies and procedures are carried out and reports non-compliance.
- Responds to emergency situations and when appropriate provides guidance for the safe management of the situation, communicating with leadership as necessary.
Requirements
- CA Driver’s License.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional.
- CA BSIS CA Security Guard.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification
- POST PC 832 Laws of Arrest.
- 1 year security, law enforcement, military, or related.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
