Security Officer Casual
Amery Hospital is seeking a casual Security Officer to provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
About the role
The Security Officer delivers a range of services including routine patrols, emergency response, public assistance, report writing, investigative services, and other duties as assigned by the Manager of Security Operations.
Responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the hospital (internal and external) and any off-site properties owned and/or operated by Amery Hospital & Clinic on a daily basis.
- Respond to emergency needs of the organization and its occupants.
- Address routine requests from all hospital departments.
- Report and investigate all incidents.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all events during a scheduled shift.
- Assist with quick registration for patients entering the emergency department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated keyboarding skill and computer knowledge.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Post-high school education in law enforcement.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or mental health.
Schedule
Casual position to assist in covering vacation and sick calls. Shifts include:
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Days and shifts vary based on department need.
