Security Officer Campus Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and communications location as an unarmed patrol officer, helping monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, visible presence, and strong customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
- Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general questions, and completing assigned reports and/or logs with accuracy.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Able to respond calmly to emergencies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a visible presence and assist with general inquiries.
