What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, entry points, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional support and general information, and help to maintain orderly movement throughout public and restricted areas.
- Support daily operations by observing the location for maintenance issues, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, then communicating findings through proper reporting channels.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
