Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic when needed, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
• Support community-facing operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and maintaining a visible presence intended to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Able to ride a bike.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and disturbances.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures.

DayTime: Tue 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM, Fri 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
